Dr Jonathan Christiansen is a specialist Cardiologist working at North Shore Hospital and also with Waitemata Cardiology. Jonathan graduated from Auckland Medical School, and trained in Tauranga and Auckland, before moving to the USA, undertaking Fellowships at the Universities of Virginia, and Rochester, New York. His clinical practice is general Cardiology, and he has a special focus in non-invasive imaging, including cardiac MRI, CT coronary angiography and nuclear perfusion imaging. He also has a keen interest in medical education, being currently both the Director of Physician Training for WDHB, and Chair of the NZ Education Committee for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Jonathan is currently HOD Medicine & Health of Older People, Hon Clinical Senior Lecturer in Medicine at North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals.
