Lindsay is one of our sonographers, who performs echocardiograms, exercise stress tests in conjunction with a nurse, and vascular ultrasounds.
Alla is a sonographer who works part-time at Waitemata Cardiology Ltd, and at both North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals. She performs echocardiograms, exercise stress tests and dobutamine echo tests.
I am Australian born who spent 5 years working in London heading up cardiac ultrasound departments at Barts Heart Centre, Whipps Cross and Royal London Hospitals. I have now moved to NZ permanently where I now head the Echo department at Te Toka Tumai, Auckland Hospital and work to further echo services for NZ. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and playing golf.

Kirsty has worked for Waitemata Cardiology since 2005, coming from a background of cardiac nursing at Greenlane Hospital for many years. She assists the cardiologists in all diagnostic testing including exercise tolerance testing and exercise and dobutamine stress echocardiograms. Her role at Waitemata Cardiology also involves fitting patients with ambulatory blood pressure, holter and event monitors. Kirsty is passionate about prevention, early detection and prompt treatment of heart disease.
Rachel began working in coronary care in 2007 after 9 years on medical wards at North Shore Hospital. She came to Waitemata Cardiology in 2011. Rachel assists the cardiologists in all the diagnostic testing. She loves the interaction with her patients.
Helen joined Waitemata Cardiology in 2011. She trained as a registered nurse at Auckland Hospital and has a post graduate certificate in Cardiothoracic nursing from Greenlane Hospital (Sir Brian Barrett-Boyes’ last course for nurses) where she worked in ICU, CCU, cardiothoracic surgical wards and angiography. She later worked in Critical Care at Auckland Hospital before joining Ascot Hospital when it opened in April 1999. As part of the founding cardiac nursing team at Ascot Hospital Helen assisted with setting up the Cardiac and CCU wards and then worked for a private Cardiology practice at Ascot Hospital for five years.
Helen is passionate, along with the Waitemata Cardiology team, in the prevention, early detection and prompt treatment of heart disease, and has recently been accepted into the Master of Nursing programme.
At Waitemata Cardiology, with good diagnosis and treatment, our aim is to help our patients overcome their condition and be able to live well and productively.
